About Mahana Poke

Located at 215 Fremont St Suit4, San Francisco, CA 94105, Mahana Poke operates as a restaurant serving San Francisco in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in San Francisco will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 10 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (415) 757-0771. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mahanapokay.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 56 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for restaurants in San Francisco. Recent reviews are the best guide.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Inconsistent Freshness and Poor Hygiene My first visit was great, I especially enjoyed the scallops, which tasted fresh and well-prepared. Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different experience. I witnessed a staff member notice a piece of shrimp mixed into the octopus container. After briefly hesitating, they used their bare hand (without gloves) to move it back into the shrimp container. This was quite shocking and raised serious concerns, especially since this is a poke place. Although I still ate my poke, the quality had noticeably declined. The scallops, which I had enjoyed the first time, were far from fresh this time, I ended up picking them out. Overall, the inconsistency in both food quality and hygiene makes it hard for me to return.

I had an amazing experience at this poke bowl spot! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the fish was top quality, and there were so many great options to customize my bowl exactly how I like it. Everything was perfectly balancedβ€”flavorful, light, and satisfying. The staff were super friendly and fast, and the place was clean and welcoming. Great portions, great value, and honestly one of the best poke bowls I’ve had. I’ll definitely be back soon!

I got the poke salad from here and it was pretty good. I love all of the options for toppings. The unagj was ok - a bit slimy in my opinion. I also thought the salad was kind of bitter for my liking. The miso soup was not very good.

Some of the best poke I've ever had! The salmon was extremely fresh and they were comically generous with the scoops ❀️ The rice was warm and fresh, the seasoned egg was delicious, and the other toppings were very fresh. I'm so happy to have a great poke place in this area and look forward to coming back often! AND they are open on weekends πŸ₯³

So glad to see a new poke spot open up in the area! I actually went two days in a row. On the first day, I built my own bowl with salmon and crab β€” everything was super fresh, and the sauces were flavorful. Portion size was generous too. On the second day, I tried the chicken teriyaki and it was just as tasty β€” again, big portion! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Since they’re still new, it’s not too busy yet, which honestly is a plus β€” I didn’t have to wait in a long lunch line like most places around here. Definitely a great new lunch option in the neighborhood!
